Community Outreach Award at the 2023 Graduate Diversity & Inclusion Recognition and Awards Celebration

VaCS has been awarded the Community Outreach Award at the 2023 Graduate Diversity & Inclusion Recognition and Awards Celebration!  This was awarded on behalf of the Graduate School Office of Inclusion & Student Engagement and the Graduate and Professional Student Diversity Council.

VaCS Co-director Dr. Kara Rode Webber accepted the award on behalf of VaCS (right). Read more about the award here.

2023 NYS Public Health Partnership Conference

VaCS member Dr. Alyssa Kaganer presented a poster for VaCS at the 2023 NYS Public Health Partnership Conference. Her poster was entitled, “Vaccination Conversations with Scientists: Compassionate, science-backed conversations improve community perception of COVID-19 vaccination”.

Alyssa reports: “I had several great conversations about this program with conference attendees, and received interest from folks of neighboring counties in continuing to work together to advance the health of our communities!”
